Connecting Dads: Park + Music

Pandemic dads need community too. They need the opportunity to safely meet and connect with other fathers who share similar challenges in juggling parenthood, professional life, relationships, and more.

Join wife and husband team, Jillian & Adam, for a safe and fun morning in the park designed just for dads and their babies/children ages 0-5:

Saturday August 28th
@ 9:00am-10:30am

  • Where: East Portal Park

  • What: Guitar/kids music with Jillian (for approx. 30-minutes) followed by Pachamama coffee and casual chatting/socially-distanced hanging out on picnic blankets.

  • Cost: $25.

  • Minimum enrollment=6, Maximum enrollment=15

Fathers from all ages and stages of parenthood are welcome, including expectant fathers and those who identify as fathers. All are welcome and invited to participate. If you identify as LGBTQIA2S+ and would like a more specific affinity group, Amy Moy hosts an amazing support group at The Root each month called, "Rainbow Families." More info.

Our goal is to:

  • Provide a fun bonding experience for you and your child in the fresh air and sunshine.

  • Facilitate introductions and social connections between families.

  • Facilitate a safe, contained activity wherein your child(ren) can observe and participate in a shared experience with other children.

  • Give everyone a chance to flex their solo-parenting muscle (and give partners a much needed break and chance to be alone for a couple of hours).
